Ma'arif-ul-Quran: Necessity of turning away from the Misguided People
(So, turn away from him who turns away from Our advice, and seeks nothing but (pleasure of) the worldly life.... 53:29-30)...
Tafsir al-Jalalayn: So shun him who turns away from Our Remembrance that is from the Qur’ān and desires nothing but the life of this world — this was revealed before the command to struggle against the disbelievers.

Wa maa lakum laa tu'minoona billaahi war Rasoolu yad'ookum lituu'minoo bi Rabbikum wa qad akhaza meesaaqakum in kuntum mu'mineen
And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?
