Record of Deeds

كِتَابُ الْأَعْمَال

The Record of Deeds (كِتَابُ الْأَعْمَال) is a profound and central concept in Islam, referring to a divinely kept, comprehensive register where every action, intention, and word of an individual is meticulously preserved throughout their lifetime. This belief highlights Allah’s perfect knowledge, affirming that [We have not neglected in the Register a thing], and nothing escapes His awareness. On the Day of Resurrection, this deeply personal account will be unveiled. Each person will be presented with their own life’s story, [a record which he will encounter spread open]. In a moment of ultimate introspection and accountability, they will be told, [Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant]. This pivotal event, when [every people will be called forth with their record], emphasizes divine justice and the ultimate fairness of Allah, where no soul will be wronged. The concept of the Record of Deeds profoundly shapes a Muslim's life, fostering mindfulness, accountability, and a constant awareness of the eternal significance of their choices and actions.
