1. What VisualDhikr is

VisualDhikr is a free, non-commercial, educational platform that provides an interactive knowledge graph of Islamic primary sources. The platform is provided as-is for personal study and educational use.

2. Acceptable use

You may use VisualDhikr for:

• Personal study and research
• Educational purposes (teaching, coursework, academic research)
• Sharing individual pages or links with others
• Quoting small excerpts with attribution

3. Prohibited use

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content from the platform using automated tools
• Reproduce, redistribute, or republish the structured knowledge graph, entity data, relationship mappings, or AI-generated content in bulk
• Use the platform's data to train machine learning models
• Mirror or create derivative databases from the platform's content without written permission
• Circumvent any technical measures designed to limit automated access
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose without prior agreement

4. Intellectual property

The underlying Islamic texts (Quran, Hadith, Tafsir, Fiqh source texts) are available under their respective open licenses from their original publishers. VisualDhikr does not claim ownership of these texts.

The structured knowledge graph — including the entity extractions, relationship mappings, AI-generated introductions, and the semantic connections between sources — is the intellectual property of VisualDhikr. This structured data may not be reproduced, scraped, or redistributed without permission.

Fiqh rulings extracted from OpenITI source texts are derived from works licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0. Any use of this content must comply with that license: attribution required, non-commercial use only, share-alike for derivatives.

5. AI-generated content disclaimer

VisualDhikr uses artificial intelligence to extract entities, map relationships, generate introductions, and translate content. While we take care to ground AI output in primary sources and validate against original texts, AI is fallible. AI-generated content has not been reviewed by qualified Islamic scholars and should not be relied upon as authoritative religious guidance. For practical religious decisions, consult a qualified scholar.

6. No warranty

VisualDhikr is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the platform. Use at your own discretion.

7. Privacy

We collect basic, anonymous page-view analytics (page path, country derived from IP, browser type). We do not store raw IP addresses — only a daily-rotating salted hash for unique visitor counting. We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics services. No personal data is collected unless you voluntarily contact us by email.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
