Divine Mercy and Forgiveness

الرَّحْمَةُ وَالْمَغْفِرَةُ الْإِلَٰهِيَّة

Divine Mercy and Forgiveness, *al-Rahmah* and *al-Maghfirah*, are fundamental pillars of Islamic faith, revealing the boundless compassion of Allah. These divine attributes underscore that despite human failings and sins, Allah's door of compassion is always open for those who sincerely turn to Him. The Quran frequently emphasizes Allah's readiness to forgive, offering immense hope to believers. We learn that if we truly love Allah and follow the guidance of His Prophet, He will love us and [forgive us our sins]. This profound forgiveness is extended to those who repent after straying, promising that [Allah is Forgiving and Merciful]. Even for unintentional errors or thoughts within our hearts, Allah's understanding is vast, for [Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing]. This constant assurance of divine mercy encourages believers to strive for goodness, to repent when they falter, and to never despair of Allah's overwhelming grace, making the relationship with the Creator one of enduring hope and profound solace.

Quran 43 verses

Laa yu'aakhi zukumul laahu billaghwi feee aymaa nikum wa laakiny yu'aakhi zukum bimaa kasabat quloo bukum; wallaahu Ghafoorun Haleem

Allah does not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He imposes blame upon you for what your hearts have earned. And Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.

There is no blame upon you for that to which you [indirectly] allude concerning a proposal to women or for what you conceal within yourselves. Allah knows that you will have them in mind. But do not promise them secretly except for saying a proper saying. And do not determine to undertake a marriage contract until the decreed period reaches its end. And know that Allah knows what is within yourselves, so beware of Him. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.
