Wife of Noah
امرأة نوح
The wife of Noah, though not named in the Quran, holds a significant place in Islamic tradition as a powerful cautionary tale. She was married to one of Allah's revered prophets, Noah (Nuh), yet her heart remained closed to the divine message. The Quran recounts her story alongside the wife of Lot, presenting them as examples for those who disbelieved: "Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous servants but betrayed them, so those prophets did not avail them from Allah at all, and it was said, 'Enter the Fire with those who enter'" [66:10]. This profound verse teaches us that personal faith and obedience to Allah are paramount. Even the closest relationship to a prophet cannot guarantee salvation if one chooses disbelief. Her narrative underscores the Islamic principle of individual accountability, reminding us that [no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another], and that salvation is ultimately a matter of one's own sincere belief and actions before Allah.

ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱمْرَأَتَ نُوحٍ وَٱمْرَأَتَ لُوطٍ كَانَتَا تَحْتَ عَبْدَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا صَٰلِحَيْنِ فَخَانَتَاهُمَا فَلَمْ يُغْنِيَا عَنْهُمَا مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا وَقِيلَ ٱدْخُلَا ٱلنَّارَ مَعَ ٱلدَّٰخِلِينَ
Darabal laahu masalal lillazeena kafarum ra ata Noobinw wamra ata Loot, kaanataa tahta 'abdaini min 'ibaadinaa saalihaini fakhaanataahumaa falam yughniyaa 'anhumaa minal laahi shai anw-wa qeelad khulan naara ma'ad Daakhileen

خدا نے کافروں کے لئے نوحؑ کی بیوی اور لوطؑ کی بیوی کی مثال بیان فرمائی ہے۔ دونوں ہمارے دو نیک بندوں کے گھر میں تھیں اور دونوں نے ان کی خیانت کی تو وہ خدا کے مقابلے میں اور ان عورتوں کے کچھ بھی کام نہ آئے اور ان کو حکم دیا گیا کہ اور داخل ہونے والوں کے ساتھ تم بھی دوزخ میں داخل ہو جاؤ
