Birth of Jesus

وِلَادَة عِيسَىٰ

The birth of Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, is a profound and miraculous event cherished in Islamic tradition, testifying to Allah's boundless power and wisdom. His revered mother, Maryam (Mary), a woman of unparalleled piety and chastity, conceived him without a father, a unique miracle recounted beautifully in the Quran. As she [conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place], and the [pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree], she felt immense solitude and distress. However, Allah provided for her and reassured her, bringing forth a new life that would be a profound sign for humanity. Indeed, Allah states that [We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds]. From the moment of his birth, Allah distinguished Isa, enabling him to speak from the cradle to defend his mother's honor and declare his prophethood. He proclaimed, "[Peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive]." This miraculous birth underscores Allah's ability to create life in any manner He wills, making Isa a beloved messenger sent to guide humanity, embodying divine mercy and an extraordinary testament to God's creative power.
