بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا
Izaa zul zilatil ardu zil zaalaha
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
جب زمین بھونچال سے ہلا دی جائے گی
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
When earth is shaken when it is rocked for the rising of the Hour with its final quake with its most violent rocking one that befits its magnitude
وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا
Wa akh rajatil ardu athqaalaha
And the earth discharges its burdens
اور زمین اپنے (اندر) کے بوجھ نکال ڈالے گی
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
and the earth brings forth its burdens its hidden treasures and its dead casting them onto its surface
وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا
Wa qaalal insaanu ma laha
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -
اور انسان کہے گا کہ اس کو کیا ہوا ہے؟
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
and man the disbeliever in resurrection says ‘What is wrong with it?’ — in denial of that situation.
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
Yawmaa izin tuhad dithu akhbaaraha
That Day, it will report its news
اس روز وہ اپنے حالات بیان کردے گی
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
On that day yawma’idhin substitutes for and is the response to idhā ‘when’ it shall relate its chronicles it shall inform of the good and evil deeds committed in it
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa laha
Because your Lord has commanded it.
کیونکہ تمہارے پروردگار نے اس کو حکم بھیجا (ہوگا)
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
for its Lord will have inspired it that is He will have commanded her to do this — in a hadīth it is stated ‘It the earth shall testify to every single deed committed by every servant and handmaiden upon its surface’.
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
Yawma iziy yas durun naasu ash tatal liyuraw a'maalahum
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
اس دن لوگ گروہ گروہ ہو کر آئیں گے تاکہ ان کو ان کے اعمال دکھا دیئے جائیں

On that day mankind shall issue forth they will depart from the site of the Reckoning in separate groups divided up so that those taking it their book by the right hand will go to Paradise while those taking it by the left hand will go to the Fire to be shown their deeds that is the requital for them in either Paradise or the Fire.
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُۥ
Famaiy ya'mal mithqala zarratin khai raiy-yarah
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,
تو جس نے ذرہ بھر نیکی کی ہو گی وہ اس کو دیکھ لے گا
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
So whoever does an atom’s weight of good shall see it he shall see its reward
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ
Wa maiy-y'amal mithqala zarratin sharraiy-yarah
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
اور جس نے ذرہ بھر برائی کی ہوگی وہ اسے دیکھ لے گا

and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil shall see it he shall see its requital.
