Moses' Mother

The mother of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) stands as a profound testament to unwavering faith and profound trust in Allah's divine plan. Faced with Pharaoh's cruel decree to kill all Israelite male infants, she received a truly extraordinary and challenging inspiration from Allah: [suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers.] This divine command, further detailed as [Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank], required immense courage and reliance on the unseen. Imagine her heart, which [became empty [of all else]], grappling with fear yet holding onto a deep certainty in Allah's promise. Her act of faith allowed Moses to be miraculously found and raised within Pharaoh's own palace, leading to the beautiful fulfillment of Allah's word: [So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve.] Her story is a powerful reminder within Islamic tradition of Allah's intricate planning and protection for those who place their full trust in Him, even amidst the greatest trials.

Quran 7 verses

Iz awhainaaa ilaaa ummika maa yoohaaa

[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.
