Miracles of Moses' Staff and Hand

مُعْجِزَات مُوسَىٰ الْعَصَا وَالْيَد

The Miracles of Moses' Staff and Hand represent profound divine signs, graciously bestowed upon Prophet Musa (Moses) by Allah to affirm his sacred prophetic mission. As Allah called Moses to confront the oppressive Pharaoh and guide his people, He equipped him with extraordinary proofs of His boundless power. One such sign involved his ordinary staff, which, at Allah's command, would miraculously transform into [a serpent, manifest], a swiftly moving creature, before returning to its original form, as mentioned in the Quran [it was a snake, moving swiftly]. This awe-inspiring display not only reassured Moses but also served as a direct challenge to the prevalent sorcery of Pharaoh's court, later proving its divine origin when it effortlessly [devoured what they were falsifying]. Alongside this, the miracle of his hand also manifested. When Moses would draw his hand from his garment, it would emerge [white [with radiance] for the observers], not from any ailment but as another clear and brilliant sign of divine endorsement. These interconnected miracles were more than mere displays of power; they were crucial, undeniable evidence of Moses' prophethood, intended to empower him in his monumental task and establish the truth for Pharaoh and his people, emphasizing Allah's unwavering support for His messengers.

Quran 14 verses
