Witness on Qiyamah

الشهيد يوم القيامة

The concept of the "Witness on Qiyamah" (Day of Resurrection) is a profound reminder of divine justice and ultimate accountability in Islam. On this momentous Day, Allah will [resurrect from every nation a witness] to testify concerning their people's adherence to the divine message. This ensures that no nation can deny the truth conveyed to them. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) holds a unique and revered position as [a witness over his own nation], testifying that he conveyed the message of Islam clearly and completely. Beyond human and prophetic witnesses, the Day of Judgment will see even one's own body parts bear testimony against them. The Quran describes a time [when their tongues, their hands and their feet will bear witness against them] as to what they used to do. Indeed, Allah states that [their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn]. This powerful imagery underscores the inescapable reality of one's deeds being fully exposed. The presence of these multi-faceted witnesses serves as a sobering reminder for believers to live with consciousness of Allah, knowing that every action, word, and intention will be brought to light and truthfully attested to before their Creator.

Quran 6 verses

Wa yawma nab'asu min kulli ummatin shaheedan summa laa yu'zanu lillazeena kafaroo wa laa hum yusta'taboon

And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect from every nation a witness. Then it will not be permitted to the disbelievers [to apologize or make excuses], nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].
