ناقة صالح

The She-camel of Salih is a powerful symbol in the Quran, representing a profound test of faith and a divine sign for the ancient people of Thamud. Sent by Allah through Prophet Salih, this miraculous camel was [clear evidence from your Lord] of God's power and Salih's prophethood. The Thamud were instructed to [leave her to eat within Allah 's land and do not touch her with harm], and to share their water source, with the camel having [a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink] on alternate days. This unique arrangement was a challenge to their arrogance and a call to humility. However, the people of Thamud, despite witnessing this marvel, chose defiance. In their disbelief and insolence, [they hamstrung the she-camel], directly violating Allah's command. This act of rejection sealed their fate, leading to [a painful punishment] that followed shortly thereafter. Quran 9 verses

وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًا قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ ءَايَةً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِىٓ أَرْضِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Wa ilaa Samooda akhaahum Saalihaa; qaala yaa qawmi' budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo qad jaaa'atkum baiyinatum mir Rabbikum haazihee naaqatul laahi lakum Aayatan fazaroohaa taakul feee ardil laahi wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo'in fa yaakhuzakum 'azaabun aleem

And to the Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. This is the she-camel of Allah [sent] to you as a sign. So leave her to eat within Allah 's land and do not touch her with harm, lest there seize you a painful punishment.

اور قوم ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح کو بھیجا۔ (تو) صالح نے کہا کہ اے قوم! خدا ہی کی عبادت کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تمہارے پاس تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے ایک معجزہ آ چکا ہے۔ (یعنی) یہی خدا کی اونٹنی تمہارے لیے معجزہ ہے۔ تو اسے (آزاد) چھوڑ دو کہ خدا کی زمین میں چرتی پھرے اور تم اسے بری نیت سے ہاتھ بھی نہ لگانا۔ ورنہ عذابِ الیم میں تمہیں پکڑ لے گا

فَعَقَرُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Fa'aqarun naaqata wa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim wa qaaloo yaa Saalihu' tinaa bimaa ta'idunaaa in kunta minal mursaleen

So they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers."

Wa yaa qawmi haazihee naaqatul laahi lakum aayatan fazaroohaa taakul feee ardil laahi wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo'in fa yaakhuzakum azaabun qareeb

And O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah - [she is] to you a sign. So let her feed upon Allah 's earth and do not touch her with harm, or you will be taken by an impending punishment."

اور یہ بھی کہا کہ اے قوم! یہ خدا کی اونٹنی تمہارے لیے ایک نشانی (یعنی معجزہ) ہے تو اس کو چھوڑ دو کہ خدا کی زمین میں (جہاں چاہے) چرے اور اس کو کسی طرح کی تکلیف نہ دینا ورنہ تمہیں جلد عذاب آپکڑے گا

But they hamstrung her, so he said, "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied."

مگر انہوں نے اس کی کانچیں کاٹ ڈالیں۔ تو (صالح نے) کہا کہ اپنے گھروں میں تم تین دن (اور) فائدہ اٹھا لو۔ یہ وعدہ ہے کہ جھوٹا نہ ہوگا

Ma'arif-ul-Quran: In verse 65, it was said: تَمَتَّعُوا فِي دَارِ‌كُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days [ only ]." Wa maa mana'anaaa an nursila bil aayaati illaaa an kazzaba bihal awwaloon; wa aatainaa Samoodan naaqata mubsiratan fazalamoo bihaa; wa maa nursilu bil aayaati illaa takhweefaa

And nothing has prevented Us from sending signs except that the former peoples denied them. And We gave Thamud the she-camel as a visible sign, but they wronged her. And We send not the signs except as a warning.

وَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ، بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ، جَدَّتِهِ قَالَتْ حَجَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ فَرَأَيْتُ أُسَامَةَ وَبِلاَلاً وَأَحَدُهُمَا آخِذٌ بِخِطَامِ نَاقَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالآخَرُ رَافِعٌ ثَوْبَهُ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ الْحَرِّ حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ‏.‏ قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ وَاسْمُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ وَهُوَ خَالُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ رَوَى عَنْهُ وَكِيعٌ وَحَجَّاجٌ الأَعْوَرُ ‏.‏

Umm al-Husain (Allah be pleased with her) reported:I performed Hajj along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage and saw Usama and Bilal (too), one of whom had caught hold of the lose string of the she-camel of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) while the other one was raising his cloth (over his head) protecting him from the heat, till he flung pebbles at Jamrat al-'Aqaba

ابو عبد الرحیم نے زید بن ابی انیسہ سے انھوں نے یحییٰ بن حصین سے اور انھوں نے اپنی دادی ام حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کی انھوں نے کہا : میں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کے ساتھ الوداعی حج کیا تو میں نے اسامہ اور بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو دیکھا ان میں سے ایک نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کی اونٹنی کی نکیل تھا مے ہو ئے تھا اور دوسرا کپڑے کو اٹھا ئے گرمی سے اوٹ کر رہا تھا یہاں تک کہ آپ نے جمرہ عقبہ کو کنکریاں ماریں ۔ امام مسلم نے کہا : ابو عبد الرحیم کا نام خالد بن ابی یزید ہے اور وہ محمد بن سلمہ کے ماموں ہیں ان سے وکیع اور حجاج اعور نے ( حدیث ) روایت کی ،
