Saqar
سَقَر
Saqar is a specific and profoundly intense name given in the Holy Quran to describe an aspect or level of Hellfire, serving as a stark warning and a vivid depiction of divine justice. It is presented as a formidable destination for those who willfully reject the truth and engage in significant wrongdoing. The Quran emphasizes its severity, asking [And what can make you know what is Saqar?], implying its terrifying nature is beyond full human grasp. It is further described as that which [lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned]], and that which is [blackening the skins], illustrating its all-consuming and transformative power. On the Day of Judgment, transgressors will be [dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar."] This powerful imagery serves as a crucial reminder within Islamic tradition of the ultimate accountability for one's deeds and the grave consequences that await those who stray from God's path, encouraging introspection, piety, and adherence to righteous conduct.
