Clear Register

The Clear Register (كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ) is a profound concept in Islam, referring to a divinely kept, comprehensive record of all existence. It signifies Allah's perfect and absolute knowledge, where every single event, every provision, and every deed – from the grandest cosmic occurrence to the most minute thought – is meticulously known and eternally preserved. This isn't merely a passive record; it underscores Allah's active awareness and control over all things. The Quran beautifully illustrates this, affirming that [not absent from your Lord is any part of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or anything smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register]. This divine ledger encompasses not only human actions but also the very sustenance and dwelling of every creature, as [there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register]. Nothing is concealed from this all-encompassing knowledge, for [there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register]. The Clear Register thus offers believers solace in Allah’s oversight and serves as a powerful reminder of ultimate accountability and justice, affirming that every detail of existence is perfectly known and recorded by the All-Knowing Creator.

Quran 5 verses

And, [O Muhammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter or recite any of the Qur'an and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.
